For our Music Initiation courses, all the necessary materials are provided by Nuvia. In the World Music Ensemble, there are different options to participate through playing or singing, so you can join even if you don’t currently play an instrument.
If you’d like to practise an instrument at home, your teacher can guide you in choosing the right instrument and help you find a suitable option. You can start learning before you have one at home.
Nuvia Passes are valid only during the semester for which they are purchased. Unused passes do not carry over to the following semester.
We will always try to find a suitable substitute teacher so your lesson can go ahead as planned. If this is not possible, you will be reimbursed for the lesson that could not take place at the end of the semester.
Yes! We offer a free trial lesson for instrumental lessons. It’s a chance to meet the teacher, try the instrument and see if Nuvia is the right fit for you.
For instrumental lessons, yes! You can start at any point during the semester. Your subscription will be adjusted according to the number of lessons remaining in the semester.
For group courses, such as the World Music Ensemble and Music Initiation, starting later depends on the course and how far along the group is. Get in touch with us and we’ll see what is possible.
Our Music Initiation courses are taught in Dutch.
Other group courses may be offered in Dutch or English, depending on the course and teacher.
For instrumental lessons, we have teachers who can teach in Dutch, English, Spanish and Greek, depending on the instrument and availability.
At the moment, Nuvia’s lessons take place mainly at our own locations and partner locations.
If you would prefer to have instrumental lessons at home, get in touch with us. Depending on the teacher and location, we may be able to arrange an alternative.
Most Nuvia courses take place once a week.
For instrumental lessons, you can also choose to have lessons every two weeks, depending on your preference and the available schedule.
Instrumental lessons are available in different lesson lengths, so you can choose what works best for you.
Absolutely! Many of our courses are designed for people who are just starting their musical journey. You don’t need previous experience to join the Music Initiation courses or the World Music Ensemble.
For instrumental lessons, your teacher will adapt the lessons to your level, whether you’re a complete beginner or already have experience.
